PKR poker review
PKR is probably among the best known online poker sites in the world, despite the fact that its player base does not quite reflect that yet. Make no mistake, there are plenty of layers at PKR, it’s just that its traffic numbers are nowhere near those of PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker.
The site was lunched a couple of years ago with big fanfare. It was to be the first ever fully 3-dimensional online poker site, which was supposed to bridge the gap between online and live poker in a variety of ways. Preceded by a huge ad campaign, the launch was a success. Players flocked to PKR’s tables to give the novelty software a go and they weren’t disappointed. PKR made it possible for players to use various gestures at the tables, and some of the gestures executed by the player’s avatar were compulsory ones. If you wanted to take another look at your pocket cards, you actually had to take a peek at them as in real life, a move which your opponents could see and use as a tell.
Player avatars can be customized in a variety of ways. One can buy jewelry for his/her avatar and he/she can teach the avatar to perform ever more intricate chip tricks.
The sign-up bonus offered by PKR isn’t bad either. New players have their first deposits matched 100% up to a whooping $600. On top of that new players gain access to freerolls and they get PKR points for free too.
